Probationer Arrested After Shooting In North Redding

A shooting in North Redding Saturday morning apparently resulted from a vandalism incident. Redding Police were called to an Oasis Road home at 7:41AM as the victim, 23-year-old Quinton Henderson of Montgomery Creek, was taken to a hospital by his friend. The suspected shooter, 38-year-old Terry Bond, left the scene but a CHP airplane pilot tracked him until the RPD could intercept and he was taken into custody. Investigators say that during a confrontation Bond fired his shotgun into the ground, then struck Henderson with the stock of the gun. The argument continued until Bond shot Henderson in the lower body. He’s expected to survive. Bond, who is on felony probation, was booked into jail.
